How to Download and Use the Divi Header & Footer Layouts on Your Own Divi Website Today

All of the Divi Header & Footer Layout downloads can be found in your members area. To access the downloads, you must first login to the members area with the username and password created when you signed up as a member.

Once you are logged in, click the link in the members area menu called “Black Friday Perks”. Under Black Friday Perks, find the Header & Footer Layout Pack perk and click the Download the Layout Pack button to download the Header & Footer Layout Pack.

What’s Included in the Download File

Once the “Black Friday 2020 Header & Footer Layout Pack.zip” file has been downloaded, unzip the folder and open it. Find the folder named “Black Friday 2020 Header and Footer Layout Pack” and open it. There you will see a JSON file named “All Header and Footer Layouts.json” along with a “Footers” folder and a “Headers” folder.

The “All Header and Footer Layouts.json” file includes all the headers and footers in one layout. Importing this file to the Divi Library will import all header and footer layouts at once.

The “Footers” folder includes 16 JSON files for importing a specific footer layout (individually) and an additional JSON file named “All Footer Layouts.json” for importing all 16 footer layouts at once.

In the same manner, the “Headers” folder includes 16 JSON files for importing a specific header layout (individually) along with an additional JSON file named “All Header Layouts.json” for importing all 16 header layouts at once. Importing these individual header/footer JSON files to the Divi Library will only include that specific header/footer.

Importing the Header & Footer Layout(s) to the Divi Library

Now that you have the Header & Footer Layout files ready, you can use them to import the headers and footers to the Divi Library. Once done, they will be ready to add to any page or template on your site.

Here’s how to do it.

From the WordPress Dashboard, navigate to Divi > Divi Library. Then click the Import/Export button at the top of the page.

In the portability popup modal, select the import tab. Then choose the file named “All Header and Footer Layouts.json” from the unzipped folder you previously downloaded from the members area. This complete pack file will add all header and footer layouts at once. Then click the Import button.

Once done, you should see all 16 Header Layouts and all 16 Footer Layouts imported to the Divi Library.

Adding Header & Footer Layouts to the Global Website Template in the Divi Theme Builder

Adding a Header Layout to the Global Header

Now that you have all Divi Header & Footer layouts into the Divi Library, you can easily add them to your Global Website Template using the Divi Theme Builder.

To start, let’s add a new header layout to the Global Header of the Default Website Template.

Here’s how to do it.

From the WordPress Dashboard, navigate to Divi > Theme Builder. Then click the Add Global Header area of the template and select “Add From Library” from the dropdown.

From the Load From Library popup, select the “Your Saved Layouts” tab. There you will see a list of all the Header & Footer Layouts you imported to the Divi Library earlier. Choose the header layout you want to use from the list.

Updating the Header Template Layout

To update the header template layout, click on the edit icon on the template area you want to edit.

Then update the content and design using the Divi Builder. Make sure to save the layout and the Theme Builder settings when you are finished editing.

Now your website will have a brand new header!

Adding a Footer Layout to the Global Header

To add one of the new footer layouts to the Global Footer area of the Default Website Template, click the Add Global Footer area of the template and select “Add From Library” from the dropdown.

From the Load From Library popup, select the “Your Saved Layouts” tab. Then choose the footer layout you want to use from the list. Select the footer layout with the matching number of the header layout you are using in order to get the matching design.

Updating the Header Template Layout

To update the header template layout, click on the edit icon on the template area you want to edit.

Then update the content and design using the Divi Builder.

Make sure to save the layout and the Theme Builder settings when you are finished editing.

Now your website will have a brand new header and footer design!
